Handwriting Storybook

Ask for a storybook. Get a brand-new story as a printable book that a child traces, finishes and colors in.

Storybook cover: The Case of the Missing Meatloaf, with pencil-sketch characters to colorStorybook page: dotted story text to trace around a cartoon, a writing prompt and a vocabulary word

What it makes

A new story every time

No idea needed. Each book is a funny, school-appropriate story: a detective notebook, a space-cadet log, a pet's diary and more.

Trace on real ruled lines

The story is printed in dotted letters on college-ruled paper, with every line on a rule, like real handwriting practice.

Write, draw, learn a word

Each page has a YOUR TURN writing prompt with a traced sentence starter, an optional DRAW IT box and a WORD WIZARD vocabulary word.

Pencil art to color in

Every page has an original pencil-sketch cartoon that matches the story. The cover has the cast to color and a name line.

How it works

  1. 1

    Ask

Ask Claude for a storybook. Add a theme, an age or a page count if you want.

  2. 2

    Claude builds it

Claude writes the story, draws each page, typesets the PDF and checks every page.

  3. 3

    Print

Print at 100% scale on Letter paper, then trace, write and color.

Look inside a sample

This is a real book from the prompt “Make a handwriting storybook.” with nothing else added. It has 15 pages on Letter paper with college ruling (9/32 in), written at a grade 5–7 reading level. Ask for roomier lines or a younger reader if you need them.

Read every book before a child uses it. The automatic checks catch layout problems, such as text off a line. They do not check every word choice. Review before use

Try asking

  • “Make a handwriting storybook.”
  • “Make a storybook for my 8-year-old who loves cats. Roomier lines, 10 pages.”
  • “Another one, but as a space-cadet log.”
